It’s Never too Early to Start

When you bring your fresh eight week old puppy home, it is a great time to start working on the boundaries you would want to set for when they become adults. It might seem overwhelming; however, if you have a plan from the start, it will greatly benefit you and your best friend in the long run. They are happy little sponges at this age.

30 Day Obedience Board and Train

This class is designed to work on manners in and out of the home. We’ll work on Place Training, Heel on a loose lead, Sit, Down and Wait. Once we have a heel established, we’ll take them on walks to the lake nearby and businesses like Atwoods and Tractor Supply to up their distraction level and help their transition back to their owner easier.

Puppy Development Board and Train

The Puppy Development is designed to bring puppies ahead of their time and teach them the foundation of Place Training, Potty Training, Sit,Down, Wait and Walk on a loose leash. This is a 30 day class that can be taught from 8 Weeks and On. This class is designed to set up your pup from the start.

This is offered to clients who want to train on their own and are looking for advice and training over video call. Consult for inquiry

Rône is now 14 weeks old and is accomplishing skills here that will set him up for life. My focus and goals with him are to keep him engaged and having fun,but also know to be composed simultaneously. With the Puppy Development Program, he has learned “Place,Sit,Down,Wait, Here, and Heel” if these are maintained as he grows these skills will develop as behavior that will take less management when he is an adult. This is such a cool and fun program! Rône is getting a head start in his obedience training through our Puppy Development Program. I owe a lot to this girl. I grew up on a wheat farm and cow-calf operation. I’ve hunted all of my life; I was the little girl pulling the trigger while my father held the gun. When I was little we had a liver and white English Pointer named Bell, who was well seasoned and her bird dog days were past her. I would hear tales of my father and Uncle of the “good ole days” of quail hunting back home in Northwestern Oklahoma. Even as a little girl that had sparked something inside of me. After Bell was gone, I had dreamed of owning a bird dog. Fast forward to deciding Nursing School was no longer what I wanted to do and I felt God push me and guide me to getting a Vizsla, while I was asking him what I should do with my life. A couple months later, I had one of the fastest puppies I had ever seen and I quickly realized she needed more training than I could give her in that moment. I found @smithkennelsbirddogs through a family mentor. Mesa and I took on their 3 month apprenticeship.Through the apprenticeship I gained a partnership with her that will stick with me for a life time and I gained family.She brought me into this world and I owe it all to her. The second day Rhett hit it off and it was just point after point, watching all the pieces come together was so fulfilling to witness! We put ourselves to work in the afternoons by helping tag calves and celebrate one of our flower girls birthday party!
